Competing for Italy’s most prestigious design award. Winners to be announced 20 June

19 projects from the Politecnico di Milano have been selected to take part in the 25th edition of the Compasso d'Oro ADI award, Italy’s most prestigious design prize, first presented in 1954. Of these, 12 were selected in the ADI Design Index 2017 and 7 in the ADI Design Index 2016.

On 20 June, at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, 16 of the 283 products submitted to the international jury will receive an award. A further 56 products will receive an honourable mention. There will also be 11 Compasso d’Oro lifetime achievement awards presented to leading individuals and companies in the panorama of Italian and international contemporary design, as well as 3 awards and 10 certificates of merit in the Targa Giovani, awarded to projects developed in design schools at Italian universities by young designers at the beginning of their careers.

Following the awards ceremony, an exhibition will run until the 26 June at the Cortile della Rocchetta displaying the products and the projects competing for the Targa Giovani.
