Descrizione dell'iniziativa
The teaching proposal is aimed at offering an innovative and interdisciplinary perspective related to theoretical and methodological aspects in the field of urban simulation and urban design, emphasizing the contribution given by informatics and psychology in developing places conjugating human wellbeing and environmental sustainability. The approach is consistent with the notion of human-centered design, which considers subjective emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and sensory aspects to describe the relationship of people with the environment. A specific focus is devoted to VR/AR simulation techniques as a support for co-design activities.
The workshop is strictly connected with the research activities carried out by the teachers involved and offers up-to-date tools and procedures for practical case studies developed together with the students. The activities include teaching lessons and applied exercises, involving the participants in the analysis of a case study with smart participatory tools with the aim of representing the subjective experience in the urban context. The lessons will take place in a blended modality, allowing physical and virtual participation. All exploration activities will occur in place with the app provided for the workshop.
Students will work in groups that are supposed to deliver a final product (which might differ across the groups) and report. Each group will present the outcomes and a final and collegial discussion will close the workshop.

FUNDS
The subscription to the teaching activities for the selected participants is free of charge.
The activities are supported by the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme with the following funds for each participant:
- Individual support: 70euro/day (max 6 days)
- Travel expenses: 275 euro
- TOTAL: euro695/selected participant
Each participant should be equipped with a laptop and a mobile device with headphones (please, let the organizers know in case of difficulties in having the devices for the workshop)
