Descrizione dell'iniziativa

Design Hackathon organized by the International Design Institute of Zhejiang University and Alibaba Design Committee.Students from Politecnico di Milano will design together with Asian Universities students remotely on the theme "Doomsday". Exploring the design challenges coming alone with COVID-19. Zhejiang University team, the organizer, will help students from different universities to form teams to tackle the challenges of logistics, socializing, hobby, traveling and shopping in a background of hypotheticDoomsday". Students will communicate through video conferencing and DingTalk groups (Ding Talk is an Alibaba communication and collaboration app,https://www.dingtalk.com/en).
Mentors from Alibaba and Universities will join this virtue teams'discussion.

Calendario

Agosto 9 (apertura 8 Agosto) - Settembre 3 
- Vision: Student teams' preliminary research: students conduct online and field research on the theme and record the process and results.  
- Keynote speech (online)
- Release of the sustainable design library

Settembre 4 ¿ Settembre 11
- Design sprint: student teams transform their insights into design proposals with the guidance of expert mentors.
- Presentation (Sep 11): student teams present their design proposals at the ceremony.
- Work review & Awarding: judging panel will review the works, give comments, determine and award the excellent teams.

Settembre 12 
Action Practice: the extremely outstanding students/teams have the opportunities to work with expertise mentors to improve the design proposals and put it into practice.
