Finalità e Contenuti
The course will present and discuss the most attractive challenges and applications in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). The course will show the innovative methodologies and approaches in order to design efficient architectures in WSNs. The course will focus on the Transport, Routing and MAC Layer and it will emphasize cross-layer approaches, time synchronization and error control techniques in such networks. The most important and attractive applications in WSNs will be also discussed. The cutting-edge research in the field will be commented analyzing several proposed models and methodologies to assess the performance of WSNs and feasible future research trends will be commented with the students.
