Ground Vehicles

The research line is organized into four themes. Namely, - Ground Vehicle Design and Testing (VDT), - Road Vehicle Dynamics (RVD), - Railway Dynamics (RWD), - Structural Integrity and Design of Railway Components (SRC). The broad field of Ground Vehicles is scientifically approached by integrating different disciplines ranging form the dynamics and control of road and rail vehicles to the durability issues related to the mechanics of materials. The optimal design and the testing of vehicle systems creates a synergism between the theoretical and the experimental researches.
