Mechatronic design of automatic machines and rehabilitation devices
The activity of this research line is mainly devoted to the development of a mechatronic approach to the design of automatic machines. The main covered topics are the investigation of kinematics architectures, with the aim of optimizing the system of actuators and the control logic, the analysis of the actuator systems, with particular attention to the electrical, mechanical, oleodynamic and pneumatic actuators and their selection criteria, and the analysis of man-machine systems, with particular attention to man-machine interfaces for medical applications, road safety and sport equipment.
