Electrical Machines, Converters and Drives

The research lines of the Electrical Machines, Converter and Drives Group concern both the methodological and the technological aspects of static converters, electromechanical components and electrical drives; specific areas are design and modelling of electrical motors and generators and their high performance control, electronic devices and methodologies, new materials, sensors, transducers. The most relevant products are the achievement of an European Patent, the start up of a spin-off company, both supported by the “Politecnico di Milano”, and various public and private contracts on the cited research topics.
