The research line Soil-Structure Interaction under Environmental Loading deals with the study of the interaction between soil and structures under the action of environmental loads such as earthquakes, soil movements, traffic loads, wind storms, and chemical degradation of materials, together with the in field and laboratory experimental activity for the evaluation of soil properties. It is organised into five interconnected themes: constitutive modelling of geomaterials; soil-structure interaction; environmental geomechanics; engineering seismology; and geophysical investigations.
