Concrete Structures

The Concrete Structures research line focuses on cementitious materials and reinforced/ prestressed- concrete structures. Among its topics of study, the following deserve to be mentioned: materials behaviour; special cementitious composites and reinforcing devices; modelling of the fracture process at the macro-structural level and of chemo-physical-mechanical phenomena at the micro-structural level in concretes and mortars; time-dependent behaviour and stability of concrete structures; concrete and RC/PC safety and durability in severe environmental conditions; and special structures (shells, bridges and tall buildings) and their life cycle.
