Territorial Governance and Planning

The research line “Territorial governance and planning” is characterized by a focus on processes of social, economic, territorial transformations and the way in which they are governed and planned. It includes: - analysis of territorial transformations in contemporary society, - approaches and fields of action of urban and territorial planning, - innovative approaches to urban project and urban strategies, - the social aspects of territorial transformations, welfare and housing policies, - decision making processes, institutional design, governance. It is organized in five research groups, each one doing research from a specific perspective and on the base of specific disciplinary background, they often collaborate on common research projects. - Territorial governance and strategic planning - Urban and territorial policies - Projects and policies in the territory - Housing and Neighbourhood - Social Planning.
