Sensors and Instrumentation

The activity includes both basic research and applied research aiming to advanced industrial developments. In synthesis, it concerns the development of advanced detectors for optical and ionizing radiation and of the associated electronic systems, for applications in diversified fields of contemporary interest, ranging from life sciences to space research. The research line is organized in two group subjects: Single-Photon Detectors and Applications; Radiation Detectors and Low Noise Electronics.
