Artificial Intelligence and Robotics

This research line integrates the activities of a group of strictly interacting people, each one working on one or more research topics, roughly matching the coarse-grained keywords: Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Agents, Computational Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Computer Vision. Many of us are working in between these areas in a really interdisciplinary approach, both on methodological and engineering aspects, for instance to build intelligent autonomous robots, or intelligent ways of understanding sensor data and reason on them to solve problems. This approach also helps the researchers in this area to be open-minded w.r.t. many application fields: we often interact with people of other groups within the Department, Politecnico or outside to apply our techniques to solve their problems.
