Web, multimedia and databases

The research line on “Web, Multimedia and Databases” is organized along three research themes: “Database Management” addresses innovation in the technology of modern data management systems and in the supporting design methods and tools, with special emphasis on query language design. “Information Design for the Web” concentrates on models, methods, languages, and tools for supporting the design and automatic generation of modern, data-intensive Web applications. “Methods and Applications for Interactive Multimedia” addresses the conceptual modelling and evaluation of hypermedia and multimedia applications and focuses on applications and experimental activities.
