Building construction, infrastructures and landscape

The Politecnico di Milano has always played an important role in providing scientific and technical support to the sectors of civil and construction engineering. In recent years, significant resources have been invested in both basic and applied research, with the acquisition of avant-garde instruments and tools. All this involves routine and specifically-implemented experiments aiming to support the dynamic innovative trend marking the sector, as seen by the continuous market release of new materials, components, systems and technologies. To this, we should then add the new problems and experimental work linked to sustainability. The Politecnico di Milano has been working on this for some time, both in terms of basic research and by providing services to both public and private companies.
