Citizens, enterprises and governance

The Politecnico di Milano has been providing companies with support under the scope of research projects, consulting and advanced training integrating academic–engineering and managerial research for years now. The parties concerned can therefore mutually benefit from the constant interaction with the world of business and the development of a great many joint projects. Research is closely linked to the evolution of the economic, industrial and social context, with specific reference to the following: • integration between enterprises, the transformation of markets and the change in business logics; • progressive adoption of innovative organisational models for the management of new product development processes and to organise production; • processes for the internationalisation of the economy, finance and business; • increasing operative and strategic importance assigned to environmental and territorial issues; • the growing need to reorganise public administrations, adopt new managerial models and apply information and communication technologies.
