Safety and Reliability of Complex Systems
Research focus
The Peer review has evaluated this group as Excellent
Development of computational methods for real time online monitoring, diagnostics and prognostics of complex components, plants and processes on the basis of data time series. Development of stochastic and possibilistic models for the computation and optimization of the availability and reliability of complex systems. Development of stochastic simulation models for the evaluation of the reliability, safety and vulnerability of complex network systems. Development of soft computing models for the evaluation of the operator performance within a human reliability analysis. Development of stochastic/analytic models and experimental validation for the evaluation of toxic and/or radioactive contaminant dispersion in artificial or natural, homogeneous or fractured media. Solution of nuclear safeguards problems using correlation measures between fast neutrons and Gamma rays.
