- The FDS website publishes free mathematics enrichment resources (test, scientific
performances, reports, investigations) for high school teachers and students, written by FDS
staff. FDS staff frequently visits schools to run pupil workshops and teacher courses.
- The mathematics education project includes development and improving of mathematics
potential through undergraduate research projects. Best projects won the contest “I giovani
e le Scienze” (FAST-Milano) in 2004 – 2005 – 2006 (http://www.fast.mi.it/gspremi.htm)
and were admitted to the European Union Contest for Young Scientists.
- FDS staff supports instruction in degree or high school activities of other Politecnico
Departments or Centres, in particular e-learning oriented.
- FDS members contribute to develop the contents of the e-learning program M@thOnLine,
dedicated to high school’s pupils.
- Development of online mathematical courses for the degrees in Engineering. (LaureaOnLine

- The FDS website reports papers on mathematics and its applications to science, art and
society, books and scientific performances created or supported by FDS staff.
- The mathematics education project includes summer school, open day and series of theatre
performances in partnership with Teatro Arsenale (http://www.teatroarsenale.org).
- The mathematics education project includes periodic seminars and Seminari di Cultura
Matematica, both for students and a large audience.
