The lines of research of the combination named” Strategic design, services design and design for the local development” aim at producing theories, tools, methods and models of action in the design-driven processes. Such processes are applied to enterprises and to systems of enterprises organized territorially, with particular reference to sectors of the Made-in-Italy specialization in the current evolution of the competitive confrontation on a worldwide level. Such processes are also applied to urban and territorial contexts where service economies preavail, based on the development of cultural, environmental and tourist-facilities resources. As reagards such ambits, particular emphasis has been put on the reasearch about exchange and transfer of successful models among different areas of the world. The aforementioned combination also boasts meaningful experiences and competences in the elaboration of design-driven policy of promotion and spread of innovation.
