An entry visa may be requested by the Researcher at the Italian Consular Delegation in his/her country of origin no later than 6 months from issue of the authorisation.

Once the visa has been obtained, the researcher may enter Italy. The Welcome Office will subsequently notify the Prefecture Service that the researcher has entered Italy and therefore request an appointment to hand over Form 209 required for the researcher’s application for a residence permit.
