After calling at the Prefecture Service, the reunited or accompanying relative must go to a Post Office, where he/she may send the application for a residence issued to him/her by the Prefecture Service. The Post Office will issue a receipt with two personal identification codes (user code and password) with which the applicant will be able to find out the status of the application by connecting to the website www.portaleimmigrazione.it.

Once submitted the application for residence permit, the Post Office shall immediately issue a receipt with the date to convene at one of the Police Headquarters. On that occasion, photo and fingerprint of the researcher will be taken, and he/she will submit all relevant documentation included in the original application for residence permit together with 4 passport size photographs.
