Convenzione di Accoglienza (Acceptance agreement)

The Researcher and the University reach a “Convenzione di Accoglienza” (Acceptance agreement) in which the researcher undertakes to complete the research project and the University undertakes to host him/her.

The project must be approved by the Department which will appraise the subject of the research and the qualifications of the researcher which must necessarily be certified by an authenticated copy of the researcher’s degree certificate.

The agreement establishes:

  • the legal relationship and working conditions
  • the monthly resources made available (equal to at least double the social allowance)
  • the obligation for the University to register the researcher and any relatives accompanying him/her with the National Health Service
  • the obligation for the University to pay the researcher’s return travel to his/her country.

  • Employment (researchers with temporary contracts)
  • Self-employment
  • Research fellowship 
  • Post-PhD grants
