On-Call Medical Districts

The municipality of Milano is administratively divided into nine areas of decentralization called “Zona”. Each area, except Zona 1 (corresponding to the central part of the city), covers an area ranging from the central area to the outskirts.

The ASL for the City of Milano is divided into 5 social health districts. To find out what District and Zona a street belongs to, please visit the ASL (regional health service) website: Find your district (in Italian only)

The ASL for the City of Milan has set up district clinics with general practitioners, on-call practitioners (emergency service), specialist pediatricians and nursing staff, with the aim of guaranteeing continuous medical services for those spending most of the day in the city for study, work, tourism or other reasons.
