Oversees the overall image of the university and the quality of communications to the internal and external public. Ensures the design, coordination and implementation of integrated initiatives, both nationally and internationally, aimed at promoting the university's educational offering and know-how along with the results of the education and research activities and related services. Develops recreational and cultural activities for the staff. Manages both ingoing orientation.

Ensures the planning, coordination and management of all the activities necessary for reaching the desired levels of service at the most convenient cost possible. Defines, develops and implements procedures, processes and interventions related to the purchase and management of services and supplies. Manages the spaces of the university, in keeping with the needs of the various structures. Handles the maintenance and management of the university's real estate. Manages the services of the classrooms, computer rooms and other common areas. Manages the incoming and outgoing flow of correspondence documentation and relative indexing and filing for the Central Administration and ensures the support requested by the university's other structures. Handles the development and management of major laboratories and scientific equipment. Oversees and develops the Politecnico's Quality Management System.

Oversees the coordination of integrated initiatives, both nationally and internationally, connecting with the business system aimed at supporting the economic development of Politecnico and above in the maintenance, growth and diversification of sources of self-financing and development of fundraising activities.
It also ensures the setting, implementation and maintenance of networking with alumni, with the purpose of collecting funds from individuals and companies to finance the Politecnico.
Consistent with the above handles all activities related to the connection with the labor market to finalize the placement of graduates and the management of post-graduate educational offer of the University (master of 1st  and 2nd  level) as well as complementary educational initiatives (lifelong learning).

Human Resources and Organisation Area

Ensures the implementation, planning and creation of policies, methods and tools for organisational development and planning, management and the development of human resources, in keeping with the university's strategies and with the evolution of the organisational culture. Manages labour relations and contributes to defining integrative agreements, applied regulations and management tools in coherence with the university's organisational model. Ensures the integration and professional, administrative and organisational support to the structures and internal and external clients (Departments, Schools, professors) in regards to the allocation and legal management of the teaching staff. Ensures the proper management of legal-economic, administrative, welfare and social security matters in every phase of the employment relationship (hiring, transfers, changes in the relationship, terminations) and in other forms of collaboration. Promotes social initiatives in line with the university's regulations and requirements.

Area of Undergraduate and Graduate Student Services

Ensures, in keeping with the university's strategies, professional, administrative and organisational support for the structures and persons involved (departments, schools, teachers, students) in the management of administrative and teaching careers, recognising qualifications as they relate to the right to education, of the planning and supply of integrated services to support teaching. Through the dedicated structure, this area supports the planning and management of the university's educational offering (bachelor's programmes, Master of Science programme, Level I and II master degrees, advanced courses) as well as complementary educational initiatives (lifelong learning). Supports the definition and ensures the management of the benefits of the right to education (scholarships, 150-hour collaborations, fiduciary loans, student cultural activities). Ensures integration and professional, administrative and organizational support to structures and internal and external clients (departments, schools, teachers) in the field of international mobility programmes for students and teachers. Through the dedicated structure, this area provides support for the administrative management of the university's PhD programme.

Ensures that the university (its structures and the academic community along with external partners) has access to an integrated and efficient system of services, instrumental and professional resources necessary for best pursuing its institutional aims in terms of library services. In particular, this area oversees, in coherence with the university's objectives, the processes relative to the management, innovation and development of library, computer and document services for the final users and the structures that require these services.

ICT Services Area

Ensures the development and management of an integrated system of services and resources that, through the use of ICT technologies, supports the university's needs and strategies in the best way possible. Constitutes the point of reference for assessing the impact, on information systems and the use of ICT technologies in general, of the projects promoted by the Central Administration or by other parties (inside or outside the university).

Ensures that the university (the structures and the academic community as well as external partners) has an available supply of integrated and efficient services, equipment resources and professional skills needed to best achieve its institutional goals.
In particular, in coherence with the objectives of the university and with the aim of quality and excellence, this area oversees the processes related to:

• the allocation and administrative management of research grants; identifying and finding additional sources of research funding;
• taking advantage of the results of the research by defining and implementing policies on intellectual property.

Technical Construction Area

Ensures the planning and coordination of construction, preservation, adaptation and maintenance interventions of the university's property, both real estate and building systems, through the planning, direction and control of the work of others, the certification and verification of compliance with rules and regulations and the design and creation of fittings and university building systems (electrical, heating / air conditioning, security, fire and anti-burglary systems). Implements and supports the university's policies related to strategic building development initiatives.
