
In 1997 Politecnico di Milano launched Piacenza Campus at the request of the territory, with the goal of making scientific research and technological innovation a tangible support to economic, social and urban transformations. The settlement of the university in Piacenza was supported through the Associazione Polipiacenza (website in Italian only), involving, beside Politecnico di Milano, several institutional bodies and local authorities.
At Piacenza students can take a full course of study in an international environment. There are undergraduate and master's degree, some of them given entirely in English, in the context of sustainable architecture and engineering (mechanics and energy sectors).
