Overview of Cremona Campus

polo di Cremona

Politecnico di Milano activated the first courses in Cremona in the year 1987, thanks to the great support lent by the territory, today represented by the ACSU (Associazione Cremonese Studi Universitari, Cremona University Studies Association).

The technological expertise of the Campus has from the beginning been its Department of Electronics and Information, and in particular in the Information Technology and Automatic Engineering sections.

The Cremona Campus has developed a dense network of relations with the entrepreneurial world and with the public administrations. Today its educational  offer mirrors the expertise of its instructors who gravitate to the campus and is concentrated in Information Technology engineering, Engineering for the Environment and the territory and to Management Engineering. Particularly noteworthy is the importance of its activity in the mechantronics sector and in the technology transfer to companies, following the setup of the CESVIN (Centro per lo Sviluppo e l’Innovazione, Center for Development and Innovation).

It is commonly said that "small is beautiful", alluding to the fact that collaboration is easier and productive in the structures where people know each other better and have greater opportunities for interaction. Certainly this is the climate which is lived out in the Cremona campus, with an important addition: we are part of the Politecnico di Milano family. Our commitment is aimed at unleashing all of the unexpressed potential of the campus in order to integrate the traditional quality of Politecnico's didactics and research, with attention being paid to the evolution of the job market and solid links to the business enterprises of the territory, consequently creating the best conditions for the professional success of our graduates. The challenge over the next years will be focused on developing growth without losing the advantage which have until now been guaranteed by a size which is student-friendly, typical of the campus, but also of the city itself and of the friendliness of its inhabitants.
