The Politecnico di Milano's company incubator (Business Accelerator) is aimed at facilitating the development of innovative entrepreneurship and stimulating the growth of employment, supporting the creation of new companies, hosting them in the start-up phase and offering services to the potential new entrepreneurs.

The company incubator generates synergies between academic and industrial research. This is made possible with the support of Politecnico di Milano's research departments and laboratories, which host the start-ups and spin-offs in equipped spaces during the setting-up phases and later on during the growth of the new companies.

Main Activities:

• Divulgation of the company culture to Politecnico di Milano's students, researchers, doctorate candidates and professors
• Information, training, consultancy and coaching to potential entrepreneurs who are interested in starting up a new entrepreneurial initiative
• Support for the quest for financing and business creation incentive programs promoted by other institutional subjects
• Partnership in national and international company creation networks

The Business Accelerator offers new companies: 

• the availability of areas equipped with information and telecommunications infrastructures
• mentoring and information activities in support of company development
• support for the quest for public financing, accompaniment to private investors and Venture Capitalists for requests for financing
• organization and management of the reception and secretary activities

Those companies which fulfil the following requirements can have access to the services offered by the Accelerator:

• to be in the setting-up phase or already set up and be no more than one year old at the moment of the request
• operate in innovative sectors, in which there is a specific expertise in Politecnico di Milano’s Research Centres
• to have good prospects of commercial success.
