The PhD in Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering is designed to train young scientist and future professionals to address the scientific and technological challenges related to the environment and infrastructures. The program features a strong inter- and multi-sectorial structure and is organized according to three key thematic profiles:
- Water Science and Engineering;
- Transport Infrastructures and Geosciences;
- Environmental and Hydraulic Engineering and Geomatics.
Training and research activities are designed to integrate (i) process identification, (ii) rigorous theoretical analysis and modelling, and (iii) applications to engineering problems and scenarios. PhD candidates are actively involved in international research networks and acquire a solid foundation of skills and knowledge transferable to a wide range of real-world challenges related to ecosystem services and sustainable development.
